Defining LPN in BOM

 we have CTO items for which the configured item is the part number that is being shipped. hence in Shipping transaction form, we see it as 1 line to pack and ship. However, within that item we have some items /options that are not shippable but that are packed.

We are hence trying to find a way to identify those boxes in our shipping docs. We were thinking of adding LPN items in the BOM.

Has anyone done something similar and could share what was done?

Or is there any white paper or doc in Metalink?
