Quick fix for a Brocade Fibre Channel (FC) Switch in marginal state due to flash module condition

Helpful tip from a Oracle Service Request (SR) I recently worked on.

One of the causes for a Brocade FC Switch changing from a Health to a Marginal status can be easily prevented or resolved.

The Flash Module space exceeding established thresholds due to old, unnecessary files taking up space will cause the switch to go into a Marginal state.

Periodically checking and clearing out files will prevent this.

Same steps can be used if switch is already in a marginal state due to Flash Module space issues.

Log onto Brocade FC Switch as root to execute command below.

Run df command to get an idea of space usage.

Howdy, Stranger!
