How to download a patch direcly to the Unix Server

Hi,

can you please let me know how do i download the patches directly in to my Unix server instead of downloading into desktop and to ftp to the unix server.
in past we use to download ftp updates.oracle.com to directly log in to the patch site but currnetly this service is  retired as of November 06, 2009 as per the below messages.
