Notebook Topic (Blob) field in P6

Anyone have any luck in using the formatted (BLOB) fields in BI reporting--P6 Notebook topics--rather than the unformatted raw text (CLOB) field?

BI appears to support the BLOB field only for IMAGE data, but the BLOB field used in P6 contains HTML code, not an image.
