Location current location and installed location

We have setup the location for the 'current location' as the party site and just check the 'installed location' same as 'current location'.

But since it is  a party site, we are not able to find all install bases on the hz_location that are owned by different parties.

First of all what is the difference between 'current location'  and 'installed location'  ?

Is it possible to have the 'current location' as the party site and

'installed location' as the hz location address that is the same as the party site ?
