Run Trial Register for older paycycle

Is it possible to run trial register for an older paycycle after a few subsequent sequence numbers?

Example - User ran Paycycle 'A' with pay_cycle_seq_num = 1579

She then run the paycycle 'A' again, and pay_cycle_seq_num for this run = 1580 [however, this run did not have any payments]

How can Trial register for Paycycle 'A' & Paycycle 'A' with pay_cycle_seq_num = 1579 be generated?

Accounts payable > Reports > Payments > Trial Register gives me the option of selecting only paycycle and the report is balnk as the latest pay_cycle_seq_num  1580 had no payments
