howto configure or disable log.xml splitting

Hi,
since 11.1.0.7 versions I monitored that the database log.xml files (the xml alert log file in the diagnostic repository) get splitted and renamed each 10 MB to log_<n>.xml files. I want to increase this 10MB metric or even disable the whole mechanism, but I cannot find how/where to do it. Can you help?
