When exporting excel in BI Publisher 11.1.1.7 - Number colums gets converted to String Column

Hi,

We using BI Publisher 11.1.1.7,

1) When we download the report in excel format, number column gets converted to String Column (*.xlsx).
2) Also in excel format, we see . (dot) at the end of the number columns. Also we have applied formatting mask in the XPT Layout for that particular column.
