Solaris server performance || Solaris Zones

Hello Experts,

issue : OS commands are hung/unresponsive or getting output/result after 15-20 min
OS version : Solaris 10, solaris zone
arch  : sparc (sun4v)

we have a Solaris box and we created a zone on the server. we are running two database on Solaris zone. every two/three days,
this zone server (VM) seems to be hung. means what ever commands we ran at command (vmstat,iostat,mpstats) prompt are unresponsive or getting
result after 15-20 min. i don't see much cup utilization as well as memory.

during problematic time, i did see huge IO waits on awr reports.

i am not sure why the basic command (vmstat/iostat/mpstat /df -h ) command are unresponsive. i could not find any error/warning messages on /var/adm/messages and /var/log/syslog.
