configurator and project manufacturing?

Hi configurator gurus:   We have business process building ATO models in an engineer to order environment.  The configurator output gets us close to the customer specification maybe 70-80%.  We then route the model boms created through engineering for the customer specific parts that are not included in our models.   The end result of this activity might be a stack of discrete jobs numbering in the hundreds.   We want to link all the jobs both standard and custom with a project or common number to help manage the shop floor and link everything together properly in planning.   Can project manufacturing module do
