Wip Job Numbering

Hello,

When creating a WIP job and allowing system to generate the Job number,can we make sure that those job numbers are in sequence for an organization? 

From what I've read on metalink, it appears that job number sequencing is shared across organizations.So, need your inputs on how this is being handled in a regular implemenation.
