Hi,
I cloned my colleague's VM image with a working Oracle DB11g R2. The original VM has IP address hard coded in tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files, so after I assigned a new IP I manually updated these two files with the new IP. All Oracle DB related services can be started successfully, but the instance still shows as Down in the enterprise manager. I tried to start up the instance in the enterprise manager and I got the following error message:
Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
I have used command C:\>lsnrctl start to verify the listener is running successfully as well as in Services. What am I missing here? Any other steps need to be done in addition to modifying the two ora files?
