How to find the amount of storage used (BUI/CLI/ECMA), and what that number means.

I thought this question might be easily solved by someone in the community.

We are trying to build a system to grab numbers from the oracle to provide history context to storage growth for capacity planning. The decision was made to pull the numbers from the cli using ECMA scripts. We noticed a couple of really odd things, and are totally unsure of how to gather this information.

#1 The numbers in the GUI are all different:

1. The dashboard on this appliance shows this:
Storage
87.5TUsed
316TAvail
Compression:1.09x
Dedup:1x

The Shares Dialog shows this:
Usage22.0% of 339T
Referenced data    70.8T

Howdy, Stranger!
