How To Shutdown an Axiom

To properly shutdown the Axiom, ensure the following:
· Axiom is Normal
· No Background Tasks are running.
· Quiesce all I/O streams to the Axiom.
· Important! If you need to power off the system for >48 hrs, remove the batteries.

Then, go to System > Shutdown/Restart, and choose “Shutdown Now” on the Action pull down. Click “Ok” when the next splash screen comes up.

The Axiom will now show that the shutdown is in progress (as a background task), and to wait.

Once shutdown has finished, the Axiom will show an inverted yellow triangle as status, and that it has been shutdown. You will also see a flashing Admin Action triangle.

Howdy, Stranger!
