oracle connection manager

Hello,

I've been asked to look into seeing what it takes to install oracle connection manager.   If we already have oracle installed, is it possible to add it without a complete reinstallation?  Also, will  connection manager replace the normal listener?  and lastly, does connection manager need to be installed on a host, separate from the database server?
