Depreciation Expense Account Question

Hi,

Can the Depreciation Expense Account setup at Asset Category Level be overriden at some level? i.e. Asset Creation?

I would like to setup the same combination account for Depreciation Expense Account for all the asset categories and override it.

Can I also ask how did this work in 11i where only the account segment was provided? In this case, how the other segments were populated when depreciating an asset? Does it take the values from the Employee Account defined at Employee Level.
