Planning Resource

 Hello All,
I am using a planning resource (Material Item) in a project. I have added this to use for May. Now, I have to use the same resource for June as well. So I tried creating one more resource with same material item which caused following error.

Please enter a unique planning resource. A planning resource with the same elements already exists on this resource list.

Is this the standard functionality? If so, How can I use this item/resource for June?

Also let me know if there is any functionality to get a report that shows me the distribution of the resource within the given start and end date?
