Stop Auto Creation of PO's based on a catalogue

HI

If you have a catalogue for iProc, you need to create a BPA for it. This means that when a requistion is approved, the Purchase Order is automatically created - is there any way to stop this either by:

(1) Creating the catalogue but not associating it with a BPA
(2) some kind of tick / flag on the catalogue so it know not to create it
