Can not Update Cost Variance Account

 Hello All,
I am not able to update Cost Variance account  which is greyed out in Organization Parameters window. Found below metalink Note which says we can not update Cost Variance account for an Average costing organization.

In Organization Parameters form, Cost Variance Account,Expense Account and Material Account are protected against update [ID 568078.1]

But we are not using Average Costing method for this organization. Please advise.
