Info required relating to JDEWorld 9.3 Web Enablement: Parameterized URL

 I am looking at the possibility of using the "Parameterized URL" functionality within A9.3 Web Enablement.   This would be used to allow an External System to launch a batch Dreamwriter program within JDE.  

My question is:  I presume this will need to be configured as a *SBM within the World Application Parameters.   This being the case, is there any way that the External System can have visibility of whether the submitted job has completed running, failed, etc ?
