Error while configuring dbconsole on 11.2.0.3 DB on Linux
Hi,
We have a 11.2.0.3 database on Linux. We are trying to configure dbconsole but kept getting this error
SEVERE: Failed to allocate port(s) in the specified range(s) for the following process(es): JMS [5540-5559],RMI [5520-5539],Database Control [5500-5519],EM Agent [3938] | [1830-1849]. Fix the error(s) and re-run EM Configuration Assistant.
Some of the possible reasons may be:
1) Firewall may be on. Turn it off.
2) Port is already in use by some other process. Either free the port or re-run emca script by providing free ports as command line options.
We have checked and IPTABLES and SELINUX are OFF
