Segment Values to be Defaulted

Hi,

I need to default some of the Segment Values while entering data in the already implemented and existing application.

 For doing this I have performed the below steps:

In the GL Flexfield Title under Application>> General Ledger under Flexfield Title>> Accounting Flexfield

Uncheck the >>Freeze Flexfield Definition

Select the required  Segment>>Select>>Open Tab

In the Validation box. Select the Default Type as “Constant”

Default Value>> Insert the Value eg, 00

Save and Check the Freeze Flexfield Definition”

Now while entering the data the default values are populated in the segments as done above.

I have following doubts after doing this
