How would we know that how much data will get purged in Archival process

I would like to know is there any way to find how much data we can Archive and how much space we will get after the Archival process. We are having AP. GL and CM Modules.
I am new to the Archival process, can any one suggest how can I know the data which is getting archived before the actual process started.
