Hello All,we wish to configure solaris 11.1 server to keep the system log files for 7 months available and just in case compressed to save space on disk.
We are interested to keep all system logs, mainly the user log, messages, and in general all syslog.
The current configuration using logadm -v is
logadm -v
# loading /etc/logadm.conf
# processing logname: /var/log/syslog
#     using default rotate rules: -s1b -p1w
#     using default template: $file.$n
# processing logname: /var/adm/messages
#     using default rotate rules: -s1b -p1w
#     using default template: $file.$n
# processing logname: /var/cron/log
#     using default expire rule: -C10

Howdy, Stranger!
