Need to more info about _securefiles_concurrency_estimate

We have a SAP system undergoing Unocode converstion and 10g to 11.2.0.3 upgrade (export/import entire database).  It is a busy system, potentially is going to see issues with buffer busy waits that Oracle recommended on another similar system “_securefiles_concurrency_estimate=50".  Need to understand what is this parameter and the effect of changing that parameter before starting import,
kind of concerned with that parameter taking effect to all tables in the database vs taking that effect on small set of tables prone to that issue.
