Create Accounting / WIP Variance

We are facing some issues in OPM costing and create accounting. Number of documents were reviewed from knowledge base of Oracle Support portal.

 

Please refer document “Batch / Period Layer Costing in Oracle Process Manufacturing Financials [ID 1347033.1]” which states various reasons for creation of WIP variance entry. Below lines extracted from document

 

“Note that the rebuild is only effective if it is run before the Actual Cost process, and then Cost Update, the OPM SLA Pre-Processor and Create Accounting are allowed to use the new Item Costs. Once you have run Create Accounting in final mode for a Period, the rebuild program will have no effect.”
