Does version information of oracle database not reflect the new version after applying PSU?

Hello Experts,

I recently applied PSU 11.2.0.3.6 on my Oracle database 11.2.0.3.0 using Opatch utility. I ran opatch lsinventory , and it shows the patch has been applied.

But, when I start SQL/ RMAN, I see the following

sqlplus / as sysdba

SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.3.0 Production on Thu May 30 14:12:43 2013
rman target /

Recovery Manager: Release 11.2.0.3.0 - Production on Thu May 30 14:18:59 2013

It is showing SQL*Plus: Release 11.2.0.3.0 ?

Output of opatch inventory:

$opatch lsinventory
Oracle Interim Patch Installer version 11.2.0.3.4

OPatch version    : 11.2.0.3.4

Howdy, Stranger!
