Failure codes

Hi,

At the time of go live we had created Failure, Cause & Resolution code as "Other" to be used in circumstances where the failure reason doesnt fall in any other existing category of failures.

After one month of go live the management found out that the maintenance techs were using "Other" more often instead of entering the correct failure code.

So he requested me to end date the "Other" code. I end dated the same at the failure code level and failure set level. However still the code can be entered at the time of "Completion" of work order.

Searched oracle support website but couldnt get any hits on this issue or patch availability.
