V880 server console issue

Hi,
   In one of the v880 server, the OS is down. So i got a call to look into this. But i couldn't get the console from the RSC prompt. When i give the command "console" it shows nothing. Tried powerdoff completely and powered ON but still not worked. I have tried powering ON from diagnostics mode. In this a message only comes as, server running in diagnostics mode and the console ouptut is redirected to ttya. I believe ttya is the same console that i'm logged through RSC login. But afte this message nothing coming. Can anyone sugegst any
