11i GRE/Legal entity VS R12 Legal Entity

I understand the below difference.

11i the organizaional model is Business group --> SOB --> LE --> OU --> INV org
and this has been altered in R12 like Business group --> LE --> LEDGER (earlier SOB in 11i) --> OU --> INV org

But,

1. Is GRE/Legal entity in 11i after migration not converted to Legal Entity in accounting setup in R12 ?

2. I cannot add GRE/Legal Entity organization as legal intity in accounting setup in R12 ?

3. Does GRE/Legal Entity lose the functionality in R12 ?
