Inserting Signature on Check

We are on 11i and would like to  insert on signature on the check so that when we process the check  and print it it already included the signature. Please note that we are not using XML Publisher  and we are printing plain text.

I would appreciate a step by step procedure on inserting signature using "plain text" for printing.
