Sharing ASM Storage with RAC and Non-RAC database

edited Jun 6, 2013 7:29AM in Database Administration (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered
I currently have a RAC instance on server A ( ORARAC3 part of a 4 node cluster ), and a standalone database PRDDB that both share the +ASM instance on the server.  If I shutdown the RAC instance and all clusterware processes on server A, will I be able, via manual means and not via srvctl, to start the +ASM instance and use it solely for the stand-alone database ( PRDDB )?
Server A

ORARAC3 (11.1.0.7) - Need to stop all oracle processes to migrate hardware.  I have upgraded the OS on ORARAC2 and ORARAC4 and OCFS2 won't allow mounting via different versions, so I must shutdown nodes 1 and 3.

Howdy, Stranger!
