Long booting on Linux with more than 100 LUNs

Gurus,
I got an OEL system with 100+ LUNs and Symantec Storage Foundation 6 installed. It takes over 3 hours to reboot. I guess that the system tries to detect all the LUNs and there is something wrong. How can I reduce the rebooting time? Thanks in advance.
