issue with hide and unhide with property in configurator start up instance

Hello,

I followed steps mentioend in below doc:

Example of How To Dynamically Hide and Show an Attribute Depending On Values Of Another Attribute with ACR 502 ( Note 1317632.1 )

It works after we click on any other attribute in configurator but doesnt work when when configurator instance starts up. Version of Siebel we have is: 8.1.1.7 SIA [21238] ENU.  So if i open configurator, I can see attributes that were suppose to be hide but once i click on some other attribute which is read only, it hides. Looks like UI settings rules due to some reason doesnt fire when configurator is opened. Is it a known issue ? is there any workaround for this?
