Move Database to New Storage

Hi All,

We are moving all databases to new HP 3PAR storage on couple of critical production database. (10.2.0.5)

These databses are NOT configured for RMAN, we are using only old hotbackup method(tablespace begin/end backup) everyday and weekly cold backup.

The scenarios is we have scheduled maintenance window for 10hrs and we need to move all datafiles and oracle binary to new storage and bring up the database after maintenance window(10 hrs)

The challenge is when database goes down at 12AM, cold backup takes atleast 8 to 9 hours, so, we cannot use that day cold backup, hence we left with option of either using previous week cold backup or previous day hot backup
