Can Desktop Integrator be used for Invoice upload

Hi, We are implementing Oracle R12. One of the task we have, as part of project is to convert, POs and AP Invoices from 11i to new Oracle R12 instance. We are looking into possibility to use Desktop integrator to load data into Oracle R12. I was wondering if someone may have used this and share your experience using it. What were some of the issues you encountered. Would you suggest others to use it?   Is there any documentation you may have to share.
