Recommended Method to move Oracle DB & Apps Binaries

We are moving to new storage on one critical EBS production environment, so, we need the recommendation on moving the oracle db & apps binaries to new file system. Unix team will mount the new file system with new name, then we need to copy/move all binaries(dbTier & appsTier), once copy is completed, then they will rename the new file system to original file system.
For this process, we are planning to do the following steps, Please review and recommend the best practice

1. copy oracle DB binary using scp/cp command --> is there any other recommended method of copying the binary files?
