Backup and Restore, but how

Hello Guru,have just landed in the VM world

I'm read note: 783287.1 and other notes, but, I want to run backups are:
1) - VM machine on / OVS / Repositories
2) - Manager is on external machine

backup of the Manager is possible?
you know show me how?

Over the two points mentioned above, to run (I hope not) the restore of the entire environment, I need nothing else?
