Make to Buy or Buy to Make
Hi all,
We have parts defined as say make items. Due to some technical snag these items cannot be manufactured, hence they need to be sourced from a vendor in order to cater the open demand. Similarly say we have some parts defined as buy items (these items can be manufactured internally but sourced from vendor due to better pricing and other reasons). Due to some technical snag/delay the supplier cannot deliver in time, hence they need to be manufactured internally to cater the open demand.
For such temporary scenarios, we cannot change the items from make to buy or buy to make. How do we handle such situations in Oracle. As these are very common day to day business scenarios, i am requesting for suggestions/practices that are followed across other implementations.
