Ask a question about back order and delivery No

Hi ,

When sales order picked release ,we set up to auto create delivery No,and After Pick Confirmed,I want to back order one delivery line of the delivery No.Now I have a question,When backed order one line ,in the application,The delivery No is Cloesd,and can auto create a new delivery No whith the other delivery lines,or assigne the other delivery lines to another delivery No.I want to know the reason?Can I back order one delivery line ,but  The old delivery No not Closed,we use the old delivery No to ship Confirm the other delivery lines. Anyone who can tell me the business process of back order  about the application?Why we
