Dual Boot Server

I have a test server I am trying to get setup to boot either Oracle VM 3 or VMware 5.1.  The hardware has 2 physical drives.  I have OVM 3 installed on one drive and trying to get VMware 5.1 installed on the other. I can't seem to get the system to boot from the cd drive for the VMware install.  OVM keeps taking over.  Has anyone else done this?
