Custom Status on a PO/Receipt

Hi

Has anyone come across a business requirement to record a Custom Status on a PO receipt?  If so, what field did you use?

Example of values:

EU    - End Use

FCG - Free Circulation of Goods

IPR   - Inward Processing Relief
