Campaign Recipient Import

Just a simple question regarding the import of campaign recipients - in the file I've been given, there is only full name, delivery status, campaign name, source code and row id. Is there a way to import the row id? I only see contact external id as an import option, and if I don't use an id, I will run into contacts with the same name which will not be imported. Any help is appreciated.
