How to put the order on Hold ? Based on "Hold Reason Code"

  Hi Team,

Could you please tell me Based on "! Hold Reason " how can we put an order on hold from backend.

Could you please tell me suppose , I have a order number,pick slip number, Hold reason , So how to put an order on hold from backend, is there any API available?
