Adding CIP asset to an already existing asset

Hi,

Could you please suggest me on the below points:

1. To deal with additional charges incurred to an asset will be processed to Mass additions and will be kept as an CIP

2. Those CIP assets should be added to an existing asset.

My requirement is can we add CIP asset to an already existing asset.

For EG:

i have an asset number ABC with current cost 100000

Future expenses incurred after adding the asset ABC 1000

Amount 1000 incurred will be added as an CIP asset DEF

I want to added DEF to ABC.

Please suggest.
