Repair Primary site without Flashback

 I would like to understand the possibilities of repairing a primary site without a Full Backup restoration and Flashback.
Scenario Description:

I have a primary site which went down due to SAN issues. From the SA's we understand all DISKs are intact and believe the Databases are safe.
However for the reason of continutiy of Business we failed over to Standby environment. Is it possible to restore the Old Primary site to the failedover SCN and then with a backup of STandby control file from the Current Primary site can we convert the old Primary to Standby?
