Connectivity to Oracle Database using TOAD

Hi All,
Is it possible to connect to Oracle Database 11g which is on 10Gb Ethernet network through TOAD from my client PC which is on 1 Gbe network. The Database machine also has 1 Gb Ethernet connectivity but the hostname mentioned in listerner.ora and tnsnames.ora refers to 10gbe network.
