Deleted HFM Applications Still Starting

We are currently running Hyperion HFM version 9.3.1. After deleting applications from HSS the applications still appear in Workspace Classic Administration Consolidation.  When you do to the HFM server the Hsvdatasource.exe files are still running. Will restarting the services completely remove the applications or do we need to go to the database tables? Has anyone experienced this? What was the resolution?
