Journals Extended report (GLRXGNJ) has parameter set for some users

The "amount from" parameter is being set to 5 for some of our users but not others (this parameter is not displayed, so the user is unable to enter a value). This means that when the report is run by these users, some journal lines are not being displayed. Is there a profile option or some other setting for these users that would be controlling the value populated in this parameter ?
