Inactivating Customers in R12

Hi All,

I have couple of questions with respect to maintenance of customers in R12.

1) In the customer creating page, i am not able to hide the Registry id using personalization. There is an asterix next to this field name. In the pages where i can hide there is no asterix next to the field name.

Please let me know how I can hide the Registry id?

2) I have defined a customer with one site. Now I have gone to inactivate the site and this inactivated the account number also. But on querying the customer name in the search field, it still comes up with no account and site. My assumption is the registry id has not be inactivated and thats why the customer name come up in the search form. How can this be avoided?
